Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2?!

Yes, it’s true. It looks like there will be a COD: Modern Warfare 2.

Bless its heart for saving us from the soul devouring pit known as WWII First Person Shooters. Information is tight on the title, but it looks like the game will be developed by Infinity Ward, the creators of the first Modern Warfare game. Which, I don’t think I need to say it, is good. Infinity Ward > Treyarch (developer of World at War).

Activision has been pretty quiet on this one, but has said that they are shooting for a holiday season 2009 release. In my opinion, COD4 was the best in the series, so it will be interesting to see how the developer handles our expectations and (hopefully) raises the bar once again.

Release Date: Q4, 2009.
